DynDNS on the Fritz!Box: step-by-step setup
AVM's Fritz!Box has built-in DynDNS support. With DNS Beacon you can reach your router, NAS or home server under a permanent hostname — even when your provider changes your IP address. Here's how to set it up in a couple of minutes.
Step by step
- Open the admin interface of your Fritz!Box (AVM) and go to Internet → Permit Access → DynDNS.
- Enter the values below. Your username is your account email, your password is an API key from the dashboard.
- Save the settings. Your hostname now updates automatically whenever your IP changes — usually within a minute.

- Domain name:
- myhouse.dnsfollowme.uk
